Ingredients
- 1 oz Wabasso Original Gin
- 1 oz of red Vermouth
- 1 oz campari or amaro
- Orange zest
Preparation
- Add all ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice.
- Mix using a mixing spoon.
- Pour everything over large ice in an old fashioned glass.
Created in 1919 at Caffè Casoni in Florence, when Count Camillo Negroni, who had begun to appreciate the strongest drinks while working and traveling in the American Wild West, asked bartender Fosco Scarzelli to boost his favorite cocktail, Americano.
One of the reasons Negroni is so popular is because it is extremely simple to prepare as it only has 3 ingredients. This means that no matter what part of the world you are in, if you order a Negroni at the bar, you can be sure you are going to drink a great cocktail!
