Bramble Wabasso

Bramble Wabasso

The Bramble is a cocktail created by Dick Bradsell in the 80s, in London. Best described as a spring cocktail, the Bramble brings together dry gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup, creme de mûre, and crushed ice. Bradsell also suggests to serve the cocktail with fresh red fruits, such as blackberries or cranberries, and a slice of lemon.

If creme de mûre is unavailable, many bartenders will substitute creme de cassis for it.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz of Wabasso Gin
  • 1/2 oz of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz of simple syrup
  • 1/4 oz of Crème de Cassis from Monna & Filles

Preparation

  • In a shaker, add gin, lemon and simple syrup with ice.
  • Shake well.
  • Strain into a glass filled with ice.
  • Pour the creme de cassis on top, creating the “bramble” effect.
  • Garnish with freshly picked blackberries, or add a splash of raspberry liqueur for a fruity and summery touch.
